Baby Shower Fun Facts

A 5 year old Peruvian girl has been listed as the youngest female to give birth. The father was jailed and suspected of incest. This occurred in May of 1939. The father was released due to lack of evidence. The baby, a boy, was delivered by caesarean section weighing 6 pounds.

There is no way to determine exactly where or when the “baby shower” originated. There are several theories on baby shower history, but none can be proven.
